HOW WE STARTED graphicslearn.com, which is an associate company of www.ultimateconsultants.net, is started to impart
training in Engineering Graphics (Engineering drawing) to the Engineering
students and Engineers. With the advance of CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting)
and CAD (Computer Aided Drafting), the manual way of drawing has almost
disappeared. Classes in the colleges also stress computer aided drawing
rather than manual drawing using drawing board, drafter and instruments, even
though it is still a part of the syllabus. The colleges do teach it as a
subject, but elaboration in drawing with above instruments is less than
previous times due to enhanced features available in Computer software, which
are used world wide, as well as less number of hours that can be allotted to
manual drawing, when teaching time is to be allotted to important and modern
subjects like CAD and CADD. But, the problem comes in the field of career. Like,
visualising and making a new design. This can be done only if the concept in
mind can be fed to a computer, for which, the fundamental views, projections
and detailed drawing done at drawing classes come to help. Many successful Engineers attribute their success to their
knowledge in graphics (drawing). It is told that `an Engineer’s language is
drawing’. What
we do At graphicslearn.com, we conduct pre arranged invitational
package classes for Engineering students and Engineers. The duration of
classes in each pack is 15 days. Elaborate explanation with models,
quadrants, lessons on various angle projections and practical classes of
drawing, are included in the teaching. Timing of classes is 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.
with 1 hour lunch break (1 P.M. to 2 P.M.). The classes will be continuous
for 15 days Sundays can be left holidays, if the attendees desire. If the timing 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. is not convenient, 30 days
evening classes (time 5.30 P.M. to 9 P.M. or 6 P.M. to 9.30 P.M.) can be
fixed after mutual discussion. The time thus fixed is for all the attendees
in a batch. How
to join? Please send an Email to any of the following Email IDs: graphicslearn@vsnl.net OR graphicslearn@gmail.com mentioning
your name, age, date of birth, name of course presently studying and name of
college or name of firm employed (as the case may be). We will register your
name for the next batch. When a minimum of 15 candidates apply from your
area, we will inform you to remit your course fee to our bank account by
online transfer or by sending a Demand Draft, details of which will be given
at that time. Once the fee is received, a mutually convenient period of one
week to ten days continuous classes will be discussed with all 15 applicants
by email or chatting on net and decide a date for starting the classes. The
classes will be started on the decided date. How
should a candidate prepare? What he/she should bring to the class? Revise geometrical and trigonometrical formulae, identities.
Try to get a good sleep in the previous night and come fresh in the class. A
zero error mini drafter, sharpened HB pencils – 3 nos: and pencil sharpener
or 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm tip pencils – 1 no: each, soft good quality eraser – 1 no:, A2 size
white drawing paper - 15 sheets and a 100 page long, unruled note book are to
be brought when coming to class. The drawing board can be kept in the class
till the final day and then taken back. We also conduct our classes at the places arranged by
students. This is to enable the students to take coaching without wasting
time to travel to distant places where we conduct classes. For this, the
minimum requirement is 15 students for the classes to be viable. The students
can arrange a hall in a hotel or a community hall or a marriage hall for 15
days. There should be enough place for 15 chairs, tables for drawing boards
and walking space between chairs.
Thank you. Welcome to our classes. |
Later, we expanded to teaching other subjects in Marine field and
Specialised field. With the long years of experience of founder (P. Premnath)
in Ship Repair field and Shipyards, many present Marine Chief Engineers have
attended personal coaching by him and passed their Viva exam and scored more
points and passed their MMD written exams earlier. This was the boost for
starting this course. Marine Engineers
who wish to take up this three days to 5 days course (depending upon their
requirement), have to register in advance, by sending email to: graphicslearn@vsnl.net OR graphicslearn@gmail.com for us to
allot convenient time. The course fee
for three days’ class is Rs. 3,000/- for individual and for 5 days’ class Rs.
5,000/- for individual. Classes will include Propeller removal, Tail shaft
survey, Aft and Front seal removal/seal replacement and fitting, Propeller
drop measuring (Poker gauge reading), Rudder unshipment etc…(to name a few)
and more. Marine Consultancy Services Consultancy and setting up of Marine Engineering as a subject of
teaching in Syllabus for Engineering Colleges (for Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering students
as an Elective subject in Fifth and Sixth Semester). We undertake the full
Project Consultancy in this regard. The consultancy includes Project Report
Preparation with details of infrastructure required, Faculty and adding
additional machineries in existing Lab or setting up of new Lab exclusively
for Marine Engineering. Learning this subject as part of the study enables the graduate Mechanical and Electrical engineers to pass
interviews of Shipping Companies for selection of Junior/Trainee Marine
Engineers for their shipping fleet or getting Campus Interview of such
Shipping Companies passed (the colleges can invite Shipping Companies with
confidence, to select their graduated engineers). In
addition to Shipping Companies, Shipyards and Ship Repair Firms in Colleges,
by including this subject, can attract more students
for admission each year. In addition to

In
the Specialised teaching category, we teach subjects
like calibration/calibration chart/table/report making, Precision instrument
reading (like Vernier Callipers, Micrometer (Screw gauge – inside/outside)
and Alignment (motor with pump and any coupled moving equipment).
